Solace, finally

Image
“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.” – Jack Kerouac There's this one instance in your life that you just couldn't believe that you cannot manage your anger, your temper, your mood - yourself. You get frustrated - nearly crying - or really cried, admit it for God's sake - and you shake yourself up - for reality check. But you still find yourself in the limbo. The last thing you knew, you sling your bag with clothes you just picked from your closet - and off you run to wherever your feet will lead you. And you, with a few bucks in your wallet, just ran away - with not even a plan of where you are heading. You just wanted to run away so you stop hurting the people you love. You don't understand what is wrong or what is happening. You are just one troubled soul - looking for answers - answers that you  yourself can't find in the innermost of your soul. You just think and act...

The Scarf

Image
One of the most painful thing in the world is buying a scarf for myself. I love scarves so much. But it always painfully reminded me of my Mom. After a couple of days of her head operation, she called me up at the other hospital, where Gaby was confined because of dengue; Mom told me that her operation was successful. We just have to take the lump found on her head to biopsy and wait for the result. It's painful that I wasn't there for her because I had to take care of Gaby who was very sick that time. That was a terrible blow in my life. Imagine my pain as a mother and as a daughter  that time. when my daughter was very sick in the hospital while my Mom was undergoing operation in another hospital! That moment,  I would like to split my body in half and be there for each one of them. I was worried, tired and frustrated. I had to stay strong for both of them. I got nothing to do but hold back the tears. My brother said, he could take care of my Mom and he said I had t...

Left eye is 300 :) Nearsighted Rupert Holmes If you take these glasses from my face Think that you would find I'm undeniably, certifiably just a shade of blind I don't envy those of you With 20/20 vision Who've seen the world for all its worth With crystal clear precision There's more to see than can be seen or said than what is heard The day is brighter, softer, lighter When it's slighted blurred Nearsighted, it's another lovely day Nearsighted, so I stumble on my way I don't just a friend or lover By a first or second look Nor a book just by its cover No, I can't even see the book Nearsighted, loving life is such a breeze Nearsighted, cause I see just what I please And it pleases me to see you I won't change my point of view Nearsighted, N...

The Junior Master Chef | An Amazing Cook

my favorite, pan-seared tuna :) preparing our lunch  the family that cooks together - stays together :)  We were invited by the Mabulo family today.   So, with Lolo Andy driving, Mommy Ning and hubby  - off we went to their home outside of Naga City. Along the way, Mommy Ning was reading the instructions texted to her by Mam Michelle on how to get to their house. We decided to pull over and asked a guy who before even Mommy Ning finished her question, the guy was already pointing us to go ahead ( He's insane ) How stupid of us not to  recognize an insane person. Anyway, the next guy we asked, even asked us that actually he's going our way so he asked for a lift.  That was a funny way to find Louise's home.  :) The family welcomed us with something already prepared in the kitchen. We were there to check the location for our future project with Louise. So, anyway, the family's warm welcome was spelled with a nameless appetize...
