Desserts Unlimited | Dreamland of Sweetness

Image
It was like a magical wand just splattered a sugary glitters of cakes and cupcakes and tarts and ice cream and brownies and cookies and oh all that sweet stuff you could imagine in different shapes and sizes and colorful containers! The Bicol Bloggers invaded the sweetest event in Albay in the merry month of December  It was like a dreamland of sweetness and you're right at the smack of all these, frozen and lethargic - puzzled and dazzled on which to eat or taste or to take home! Well, that was what I was feeling when we were ( Bicol Bloggers )  at the Desserts Unlimited in Albay last Christmas of 2016. Almost all of the sugar fairies of Bicol gathered in one event to showcase their products at the Activity Center of LCC Mall in Legazpi City, Province of Albay.   Everything you wanted to see in the name of desserts, you'd find it there. Delectable Dimsum Treat at The Park Restaurant

Image
Chinese by heart (and  stomach) I studied in a Chinese School from Elementary to High School. My Dad worked with a Chinese boss, Mom was fond of hopia, tikoy and kiamoy, dikiam and  ma-ho. Our family loved Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Needless to say, although we're definitely not Chinese, but of course,  we know that we might have Chinese blood from our ancestors (or maybe not?), our family seems to have a connection with anything Chinese. There was a Chinese restaurant situated right on spot of that location. I vividly remembered that dumplings were being wheeled around on carts by servers. It's hot and steamy and served in  round basket steamers. Spring Roll Vegetable P150.00 When our family dined in it usually served as out appetizer.  It's ready to eat and served usually in three or four ...

Image
From the moment I found the place under the searing heat of the sun, it sends  off automatically a deja vu chills! It's as if there's someone who whispered to me to look right and indeed, I'm on the right spot! I found Poison Cauldron, an old house with big pink open windows, and big trees around the house.  There's that certain smell of old houses and even the old books. It brought some joyful shivers in my spine. and I told myself, I am home. Old houses always struck me as interesting. Mainly, because I also live in a Pre-Spanish era house. Secondly, my Mom and I are paranormal lovers. We like the world of the unknown, ghosts, ghouls, lost souls, aliens and crystals and spaceships  (Well, off topic! This will be another post in my blog). Here is my Top Five Reasons Why Poison Cauldron Library Cafe   is worth your visit! 1. Books!      Lots of it. If you're a book worm, this place is your sanctuary. There's a variety of books from romanc...
