One of the best thing that happened during December was when I took three old ladies to Avenue Hotel's Cafe Plazuela for an afternoon tea.
Lost in Translation
First of, it was not easy meeting them. I texted them several times but we sort of talking in another language. I called them up, but they couldn't hear me. Believe it or not, I got around SM two entrances looking for them. It was a good exercise though and it tested my patience. I was able to find them near the fountain. I would skip the story behind the fountain. :D

You are never too old to experience every good thing in life! |

Okay, let's start eating! |

A call with lots of love across the miles |

I think they love the treat. Are they coming back for another afternoon tea? Well, that's something we should watch out for. |

First time in a nice hotel

"This is really oh so good" |
So, it was their first time in Avenue. They were awed and amazed and at the same time so happy to be able to get here. Well, they almost gave up because the meeting part at SM Naga was already quite impossible - hearing problem and texting problem (but we were able to pull it through though).
Afternoon Tea with the Old Ladies
Imelda, a facebook friend (met her once when she went home for a vacation) the one who treated them, who's on the other side of the Philippines, called them up and the ladies narrated how fancy and how everything looked beautiful in the place. It's amazing that one daughter who's far away from her Mom was able to do something special for her mom and friends. I mean, yeah, if you have a friend who has the time to go with your mom, why wait? Hats off to you Imelda.
On my part, it's like a job well done. Doing something for a friend and for these ladies, who came along the way from Goa. Dropped their daily rural routine and travelled to this unfamiliar place, I feel happy and fulfilled as well that they were able to welcome this change with my little help.
Facebook is magical

Facebook can really do something for people we love. It builds relationships and can cross bridges to help, to show that we care and to make our loved ones happy. Even if one live miles away, there's always a way to show your love.
For these, Cheers to Facebook! and Cheers to a wonderful daughter named Imelda. :D
