Avenue Hotel's Afternoon Tea | Definitely, your cup of tea

And so, this is the story why we ended up having to try the  first Avenue Hotel's new sets of Afternoon Tea:

I was with a bunch of colleagues who were so pissed off with the loud teen-agers from one of the coffee shops along Magsaysay Avenue.

Exquisite Set | Pork barbeque quesadillas with tomato salsa, chocolate-coffee cupcake, Cinnamon Twist, Cream Puffs, Chocolate Sponge Caramel Shot, Triple Rush Chocolate Cake, Oreo Cheesecake, Lemon Cake P480.00 good for 2-3 persons. 
The coffee shop was once quiet, I usually frequent there, and so I thought. Now, not anymore. It's been invaded by teenagers who only buy cupcakes and talk loud and scream to each other while discussing about their lovelife.

I almost wanted to make a scene right there and deliver Anne Curtis' line with conviction. "I can buy you, your friends and those cupcakes! Just get out of this coffee shop!" . Of course, I didn't.

So we decided to transfer to Avenue's Cafe Plazuela for an afternoon tea instead. It was the right move all along. I was thinking now, should I thank those loud teenagers for pushing us away because something better awaits us?

While we're enjoying sipping our hot tea partnered with the sweet desserts,the gracious Sir Allan Cu approached our table and invited us to try the new sets of afternoon tea soon. We were so delighted with the invitation. You didn't get this kind of invite everyday.

After several days, I was already with some friends whom I invited (those who weren't able to come just looked at the photos I posted just drooled and wanted to turn back the clock, for missing the chance of trying the newest afternoon tea sets for free).

As we all know, the  afternoon tea is a cure for that "feeling low" moment. so, if you feel so down the drain after work, you want to give yourself an instant lift, you want to feel good while talking to friends, well, this is your cup of tea.

Afternoon Tea is available every 2:00-6:00pm at Cafe Plazuela at the Avenue Plaza Hotel.

Pistachio sansrival is really yummy

This is the Afternoon Tea CLASSIC  | Smoke salmon sandwich, Avenue Ensaymada, Banana Chocochip cupckae, Walnut muffins, Blueberry and Marble Cheesecake, White Panacotta Vanilla, Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu - P342.00 serves around 2-3 persons.
Can't have enough of these. Fruit tart and nutella eclair is my favorite.


Avenue Signature. Good for around 4 pax. If you'll split the bill, around 150.00 per person. Not bad huh?

There's this itch that every time I acquire one succulent after another - the desire is insatiable.  I therefore, am a succulent addict. Delectable Dimsum Treat at The Park Restaurant

Chinese by heart (and  stomach) I studied in a Chinese School from Elementary to High School. My Dad worked with a Chinese boss, Mom was fond of hopia, tikoy and kiamoy, dikiam and  ma-ho.
