Ms. Bicolandia 2012

YVETTE was the              
 name of the night during the Miss Bicolandia search for 2012. Both of the Yvettes vie for the title. But the other Yvette won over the other Yvette - so sorry I forgot their family names. But the Yvette who won was the one with most of the minor and corporate awards..Miss photogenic, Miss something, miss here and there etc...
I watche the show with my friends, Sherwin, Monica, Mirla, Martin together with Lucky and MIkh ( barely some few months old who slept the entire show, I wonder if he;s gonna be interested in beauty pageants when he grows up). I got free VIP seats from Al.
I think Raymund Gutierrez and Isabel Daza were just doing their hosting job - no passion. Their aura that night always say that let;s get over this and done with. They were like hurrying up, no adlibs, they jus didn't care with dead air during the show. No audience connection whatsoever. And it's quite sad because the government spent a million bucks for this pageantry and yet I don't think the pageant has eve
n its advocacy. After the competition, now what?  The top 5 questions if I may say was not thought of well. How come they would ask contestants about the SMILE acronym...invest, study or whatever in Naga - when this contest is for the entire Bicolandia and not centralized in Naga City only. I was dismayed actually. My friends did not like the video during the swimsuit competition , it was like out of the context of the look of the show.

Obviously, yes,  every part of my body is aching tonight. Most especially my wrists and my arms. I am not young anymore. I am not that flexible as before. I cannot reach my toes, I cannot lift or twist my body like I used to do, but surprisingly, I still can lift my butt with that certain yoga position, i can do the child's post and keep my balance but definitely, not that locust position. From the time I started to love having succulents at home, I never stopped having them. There's this itch that every time I acquire one succulent after another - the desire is insatiable.  I therefore, am a succulent addict. Last Sunday, my day off and "me" time, I decided to visit the nearby town of Sto. Domingo. Roughly, it took me only 20 plus minutes or so, hitched on my friend's motorcycle. The air was breezy, sun is not too hot, it was the perfect weather and it was a perfect ride - where you can smell the fresh air,  mesmerized by the vast green farms, cows grazing and the beautiful Mayon as the background. Delectable Dimsum Treat at The Park Restaurant

Chinese by heart (and  stomach) I studied in a Chinese School from Elementary to High School. My Dad worked with a Chinese boss, Mom was fond of hopia, tikoy and kiamoy, dikiam and  ma-ho. Our family loved Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.
