TODAY WITH FRANCIS GOES AIRING IN 19 COUNTRIES | Love keeps it going
It's pretty amazing how a small and local independent production is being offered an international airtime.
Today with Francis, started with the collaboration of three heads ( brains included). Fer, Atty. Francis and I just chatted on facebook and had conceptualized a show that would bring inspiration to the youth. Thus, Fer thought of the tagline, cool, committed and concerned. That's practically the show is all about.
After a month's of brainstorming, buying the equipment, writing the scripts, and conceptualizing - we headed to our very first shooting day. We were able to travel in several places, Bicol, Manila, Tagaytay, Batangas, Hongkong, Macau. Just recently, we were able to cover Northern Luzon, we were able to visit Porac, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Vigan and Laoag. :)
We were given a very affordable air time rate in GNN ( Global News Network ). We finished about 12 episodes, showing every Sunday at 10:00am. We beat the deadlines. The show has improved since our episode 1. We are all enjoying our work, and at the same time, we're learning the ropes of the production. Before our episodes in GNN finished, Atty. Francis received a call from Mr. Joseph Francia, the VP for GMA Life TV. And from then, the good news just kept on pouring in. He saw our show on youtube and he said, the show has a great potential in the international TV. The rest as they say is history.
I took great pride of having Today with Francis shown in GMA Life TV. 19 countries at that! :)
From our small home, where we have countless sleepless nights for editing, shotlisting, scriptwriting, tweaking the material, spending hours of gulping coffee to keep ourselves ( I and my husband) awake - we did a wonderful TV show.
Sometimes, I want to give my husband and I a pat on the back, for doing this tall order. :) a husband and wife team who literally do the post-production of the show! We're a novelty I suppose! That's commitment.
So, we congratulate everyone involved in this show. It's not the biggest and the most popular show in the entire universe! but this is the show, with words woven while a mother is juggling with her household chore. And with editing techniques of my husband who does not mind staying up until the wee hours of the morning just to give a quality show - and to beat the deadline. With my producer and host's patience and love and never ending support not only for the show - but for my family as well.
This is the show, I am so proud of. I cannot wait to tell this story to my grand children - that once upon a time, their grandmother rocks! :)
